Mira's Bio

 

Events By M is a company that is fueled by Mira Faierstain with purpose and passion. Coming from a culture of hospitality, it was her dream to be in the industry.  Her philosophy is creating a memory.  Simply put, her belief is, “it’s all about you”.  You should be a guest at your own event, surrounded by good food in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.  Mira’s dreams were realized beginning with her tenure at Foodstuffs, a Gourmet Food Shop in Evanston, Glencoe & Lake Forest.  For Mira, that’s when it really hit home.  Through a succession of promotions, starting behind the deli counter, becoming store manager, and ultimately developing their signature catering department, Mira was Voted Best Caterer by North Shore Magazine in 1994. Managing all aspects of the business from front to back, customer service just came naturally.  Mira treated every customer as if they were walking into her own home.  By incorporating that philosophy into her next position as a Meetings & Events Coordinator in the hotel market, she gained knowledge of the corporate structure while maintaining the same personalized service of a private event. Over the subsequent 20 years, Mira went on to positions at The Chicago Botanic Gardens, Ameritech, Kemper Insurance and CDW.  During this period, Mira was able to build successful and lasting relationships allowing her to establish Events by M. 

Mira realized how a successful event can not only accomplish short-term outcomes such as lifting people’s spirits or thanking them, but also advance long-term objectives such as building company culture or reinforcing the company brand.
